Gladys Griffiths Senior Vice President, Co-Deputy Head of Audit. Responsible for coverage of Risk Management Corporate Treasury and Global Advisors Internal Audit at State Street. Gladys is a member of the executive leadership team for Corporate Audit reporting directly to the General Auditor and has accountability to the Examining and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors. Gladys is responsible for establishing, directing, and executing the strategy for Corporate Audit’s global activities. In addition to her current portfolio, she provided prior leadership of the Cyber, IT, Digital Assets, Data Management and Trading audit teams As the co-deputy for the chief auditor, Gladys provides transformational leadership in the development and execution of strategic plans to improve departmental processes and influencing risk practices at the enterprise level to ensure compliance with regulations and policies. Prior to joining State Street in May 2022, Gladys was the Americas Chief Audit Executive and Global Head of Global Markets Audit for Barclays Bank based in New York City. Her 20+ year career in Financial Services has included progressively challenging roles in Audit, Trading and Risk management with Royal Bank of Canada, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and KPMG and EY. While serving as the Americas Chief Audit Executive at both Barclays and RBC, she was directly accountable to the regional Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and responsible for audit and controls activities across all businesses and functions, as well as; directly responsible for assurance to the NY Federal Reserve Bank and other local regulators. Gladys is active in the community and industry events regarding audit and risk management related topics. Gladys resides in New Jersey with her family and is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where she holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Business Administration.
