Piyush is a global banking executive with a consistent track record of driving growth, managing risk, delivering remarkable customer experience, improving efficiency and leading global teams across various business cycles, cultural settings, regulatory and technology environments. Piyush is the Commercial Risk Executive and serves as the primary 2nd line point of contact for the Commercial Bank to achieve risk management excellence and drive sound profitable growth. He is instrumental in ensuring that risk oversight evolves alongside the Commercial Bank’s growth strategy, balancing risk discipline with business growth enablement. Since joining Key in 2Q’20, Piyush has been instrumental in setting up and scaling the 1 st line risk function as the Head of 1 st line Commercial Risk spanning Commercial Lending, Servicing and Payments. He participates and presents periodically to Regulators (OCC, FRB, FDIC), Board Risk Committee, Executive Risk Committee as well as Credit, Compliance and Operational Risk Committees at Key. Piyush brings in depth global financial services experience and joined Key from Citigroup where he served as the Director, Enterprise Risk Management with the Office of Citi’s Chief Risk Officer focused on achieving Risk's strategic priorities, meeting heightened standards and ensuring safety and soundness of the firm. He spearheaded AI and digitization efforts as part of Citi’s Risk Management roadmap. He also successfully led revenue growth and client experience initiatives for Citi's Global Consumer and Commercial Bank. Prior to Citigroup, he was with American Express as Head of Global Corporate Payments & Transformation. He also successfully led US Cards Credit Collections Strategy to “Protect the Brand and Stay Liquid” during the global financial crisis and setup/expanded operations in India, Philippines, Kuala Lumpur, UK, Mexico and Argentina as part of integrating US and International servicing footprint. Piyush earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and an MBA from Xavier School of Management (XLRI) in India. He completed executive program in Artificial Intelligence and Implications for business strategy from MIT Sloan School of Management. He is also an Accredited Payments Risk Professional from Nacha and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from American Society for Quality. He has served on the board of Future For KIDS, a not for profit for at risk children. He is based out of Key’s New York City midtown office and lives with his family in North Jersey
