Marta Palanques is a seasoned Security and Risk professional, specializing in integrating risk management practices and processes to effectively support decision making with meaningful data while minimizing the overhead and meeting regulatory expectations, and in communicating security and risk to technical and non-technical executive stakeholders. In her current role as a Senior Director of Technology Risk Management at Capital One’s, Marta leads a team that is responsible for providing oversight and effective challenge of periodic and change driven risk assessments performed by the central enterprise technology division. Her team is also responsible for facilitating technology scenario analysis to quantify technology risks across the company. Her previous experience in the industry ranges from IT audit and risk functions at Deloitte to conducting research in cybersecurity at Barcelona Digital Technology Center and includes defining and implementing a risk frameworks and methodologies at multiple companies, including ADP and Capital One, and building a program to support a single reporting platform that enabled exploration of multiple data sources and provided ADP’s executive leadership with visibility and insight into the security and risk program.
