About

Carien Meintjes is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and currently serves as the Global Head of Non-Financial Risk Framework. For the past 3 years, she’s focused on the alignment of the Non-Financial Risk organization and risk management practices across the Firm. Carien joined Morgan Stanley in 2015 in Firm Risk Management, where she held various roles in Capital Planning and Regulatory Reporting, Operational Risk Framework and Risk Oversight for both US Banks. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Carien worked in Audit, Compliance and Risk roles for EY and Barclays Capital across South Africa, London and New York. Carien is a qualified Chartered Accountant with the Institute’s of Chartered Accountants England and Whales and South Africa and graduated from the University of Johannesburg.
