About

Shweta joined IBM Consulting in May 2025 with deep risk and compliance expertise, with over 22 years of consulting and industry experience. She leads the IBM Promontory Practice in North America Banking, Insurance, and Financial Markets, driving innovation, industry offerings, and use cases which bring forth risk and compliance transformation. Prior to IBM, Shweta was at UBS and led the regulatory risk office and enterprise risk in addition to leading risk and compliance integration through the UBS and Credit Suisse merger. In her role, she drove interactions with key regulatory agencies, including the Federal Reserve, OCC, SEC, CFTC, NY DFS, and global regulators. She also established the enterprise risk governance and legal entity risk reporting framework. Prior to her tenure in banking, Shweta spent over 15 years with PwC Consulting's Risk and Compliance practice, leading several transformational client initiatives in the financial services sector. Shweta is also an honorary speaker on enterprise risk management at Columbia University and other industry events. Shweta brings a pragmatic view of embedding technology in risk and compliance practices to drive organizational effectiveness and risk culture.
